Surya kumar Yadav, the top T20 batter in the world, will miss a few more IPL games while he heals from surgery to repair a sports hernia.
BCCI source stated,
The National Cricket Academy (NCA) will monitor Surya kumar Yadav’s recovery from a sports hernia operation, which need him to miss a few more IPL matches. Surya Kumar Yadav is the top T20 batter in the world. Yadav, a player for the Mumbai Indians, has not been seen in the league and his franchise has lost its first two games. “Surya Kumar Yadav is progressing really well, and he’ll be playing for MI again shortly. He did miss the first two games, though, so he could have to miss a couple more,”.
While MI is missing Yadav, the BCCI doesn’t want to take any chances with the big-hitter’s fitness as he is expected to play a huge role in the upcoming T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies in June.
“For the BCCI, the main concern is whether he is on track for the World T20, which he is.” Obviously, he will play for Michigan, but he cannot be rushed following sports hernia surgery,” the insider stated.
